FREDAL Inc.. began operations September 18, 1978. The company is headed by Mr. Alain Fredette, founder, president and CEO.
The head office is located at 186 rue Jean-Proulx Gatineau and also has a sales office on Dalhousie Street in Ottawa.
The company has an area of 15 000 sq ft, including 7 000 sq ft that we use in our showroom.
Today, the company is divided into (2) two major sectors: division office furniture and office machines.
Fredal is part of the buying group Novexco FREDAL which is a shareholder since January 1989. The company represents some 130 shops, 80 of which are shareholders (with a purchasing volume of over 110 million).
The company employs nearly 30 people full time, which included several engineers, a direct sales force, and senior staff of four (4) directors.
Marketing
The Office Specialist Fredal Inc.. has more than 1,000 customer accounts, mainly companies in the region of the nation's capital.
The marketing strategy is based FREDAL
mainly on its direct sales force. In addition, the company participates in various trade shows.
Also the company is distributing one (1) furniture catalog. Large sums are also invested in advertising on radio and in print media.

* Honorary Chair for the 15th Telethon of Hope, 2000 edition.

* On August 12, 2002, Mr Stephen Fredette joined the family business as Director of Development.
* In 2003, Mr. Stephen Fredette, director of development, was the recipient of the business category at the 5th edition of the Concours québécois en entrepreneurship in the region of Outaouais gala organized by the CLD Gatineau.
* September 16, 2003: Launch of the new department with digital photocopier SHARP.
* In 2004, Mr. Alain Fredette and Ms. Jocelyne Tessier-Fredette are awarded the title of Volunteer of the Year for the Outaouais region.
* In October 2004, Mr. Alain Fredette was awarded a high distinction. Indeed, the Association of Chambers of Commerce of Quebec awarded him the title of Volunteer of the Year for the entire province of Quebec.
* In November 2004, Mr. Alain Fredette is recognized by his peers in the Chamber of Commerce Gatineau by awarding him the title of Personality of the Year.
